FlickrSavr - Status Update

In the five days since releasing Flickr Savr v.5 we have had over 1500 downloads and some great feedback. Thanks to The Unoffical Apple Weblog and MacMerc for their plugs as well as all the other weblogs who have posted regarding this app. I have some great ideas for adding to the functionality of Flickr Savr and intend to post updates as I progress. If anyone can offer advice on creating a user interface to control a Quartz Compostion in Interface Builder drop me a line.
Future plans include:
A nicer user interface
Ability to download images from a group
Ability to downlad images from a set
Ability to control transition times and/or effects
Ability to control image effects (black and white/sepia etc..)
Ability to disable titles and/or choose font Maybe a stand alone application?
Create a visulazation of the tags users are searching for with Flickr Savr on aloi.org

Thanks for the work on this. It should be pointed out that you are creating the image list by having quartz composer contact your site in order to run the php.

You might consider publishing the php code so that people could run that locally if they so choose

Hi, I just came across this screensaver, but it doesn’t work on my intel mac. It just stays black. I was hoping you could update FlickSavr as this is what I have been searching for for quite some time.

I haven’t touched the app in a few months, but have wanted to pick it up and finish what I started. I have an intel Mac as well so I will do some testing and let you know what I find out. Thanks for checking it out, keep a look out for a new version.

I think I found something, I see your attempts in the web server logs - try changing your search query to something other than ctaloi (user-name). For example, change the ‘type’ to #2 and enter “apple” as the query; don’t use the quotes….
