FlickrSavr - A Reprise??
It’s been a long time, but I’ve picked FlickSavr up again and am working on a new release. I’ve taken everyones comments and built in some more user control. I’ve also changed the screensaver to be a little more “Leopard” like. I started with some of Apple’s code, hacked it up a bit, and am using the same back end parser. I’d like to re-write the parser in Ruby (currently it’s PHP). Look for more updates soon… - Chris

Photographed a friends band the other nite (The Mere Mortals) Got some interesting photos, but struggled with the lack of light. I brought my Canon 50mm 1.8 on a Canon 40D. Pretty happy with the high ISO results. Some post processing in Lightroom (cropping, saturation). In the end - I’m happy with the results. Should have more online soon.

Mac OS X 10.5 - Enable Bonjour Browser in ScreenSharing.app
I came across this today while browsing some plist files….
You can enable a “Bonjour Browser” which allows you to add list of computers you connect to via the new ScreenSharing application in Leopard. To enable this run the following command in your terminal:
defaults write com.apple.ScreenSharing ShowBonjourBrowser_Debug 1
Now relaunch ScreenSharing.app and you’ll have a nice browser to select computers from. You can also add a computer to “My Computers” which leaves the connection in the list.
Enjoy…

Note: to change the value back run the same command and replace the one with a zero.
FlickrSavr - Search by UserName - Fixed!!
Hello - It’s been awhile since i’ve touched FlickrSavr, but I know many of you are still using the application (server logs). It was brought to my attention that the search by user-name function no longer worked… Well, now it does!
I had to revise a bit of server side code - you won’t need to update the application.
Cheers!
-Chris
